The owner, Mike McAndrew, was born and raised in West Vancouver. Mike started his apprenticeship in 1988 with his Father’s company, Jordan Electric. He spent many years working on some of the most prestigious landmarks in Vancouver; Science World, Sutton Place Hotel, the Grosvenor Building on Georgia, to name a few, and many of the high rises that are still around today.
Deciding to branch out on his own, Mike started his own electrical company, Wedgewood Electric in 1996. Mike developed a name for himself on the North Shore, concentrating on new residential construction and renovation upgrades, as well as commercial retail outlets and services.
In 2005, Mike went into partnership and opened up Core Electric Services. Along the way, Core Electric acquired Mr Electric. Core Electric focussed on the commercial side and new residential construction, where Mr. Electric helped service the smaller services and problem solving needs of the residents of the North Shore and Greater Vancouver area. Even though Mr Electric was sold in 2015, many of his loyal customers reached out to him to keep him as their electrical contractor.
Mike and the Core Electric team consider customer satisfaction one of the most important aspects of our services. At Core Electric, we think long term. This approach to our day to day services lends itself to employees making good decisions in respect to our customer’s best interests.
